港人-李小龙（1940至1973年）/Hong Kong People-Bruce Lee Siu Lung (Lee Jun Fan-1940-1973)

没想到，李小龙离开我们有四十年。

这个星期六，我会到香港出席李小龙逝世四十周年活动，来体验“龙之魂”。

很遗憾地，我没有在离开新加坡时，写出对他生前所拍的电影的感想。

希望在7月20日的当天，能够和来自世界的“龙迷”们齐聚香江，一起怀念这位照耀东西世界的武学哲学家。

Coming this Saturday, we usher the 40th death anniversary of Bruce Lee Siu Long (Lee Jun Fan). 

I will be in Hong Kong this weekend to experience "Spirit of the Dragon" with many of the Bruce Lee fans. 

It is my regret that I did not type my thoughts on the Bruce Lee films (Yes, I was inspired to have a physique like him when I was young) before I leave for Hong Kong. 

Nevertheless, I hope to share the same pride that many of his fans had for this great martial arts practitioner, actor, director and philosopher this Saturday, 20 July 2013. 

港事-“打风”季节（7月至10月）

昨天的台湾经历了本年度的第一个直扑当地的台风，造成很多趟往返香港和台北的航班取消。

每年的7月至10月期间的夏季，也是香港的台风季节。台风，也被港人称为“打风”。自从香江在英国殖民地时代（1899年至1997年）有记录以来，都会造成一定的破坏。以下，就列名到本年度台风季节开始之前（2013年6月），近代死亡人数多的风灾：

-1962年温黛台风，183人死亡
-1971年露丝台风，110人死亡
-1960年玛丽台风，45人死亡
-1964年露比台风，38人死亡

而香港天文台在发出台风警告的时候，仍然沿用从殖民地时代的风球讯号系统，即：1、3、8、9和10。最一次，香港发出的“十号风球”是2012年7月24日的韦森特台风，警告持续了三个小时。

如果，你和我一样即将在这个 季节到香港玩，一听到香港挂“三号风球”，立即回返酒店，或找个地方避开雨势和强风。根据我的经验，那不是闹着玩的。

HK Affairs: Hong Kong In "Pacific Rim"

Just came back from the sneak preview of Pacific Rim. And oh boy, am I thrilled to see Hong Kong as a setting for "The Kaiju War". 

Basically, Hong Kong was set as the final battleground for the above mentioned war. According to the film, the War started in 2013 with Kaiju first appeared in San Francisco, laying waste to the city. 12 years later in 2025, the final stage for the "Jaegers" to defend humanity takes place in Hong Kong, where the Shatterdome, the first and the only base standing to defend the Kaiju. 

What is seen will be the futuristic Hong Kong, which part of the Kowloon Island turned into Shatterdome. Tsing Yi Bridge, Victoria Harbour and Central is featured but would be destroyed or damaged by the fighting. Also, audience will hear the announcements in base modelled after  Hong Kong MTR's trains announcements.

Let's see how Hong Kong will be the final battleground to save humanity in Pacific Rim.
