Hong Kong Pop/Unofficial Anthem 3-Jenny Tseng's Fen Dou (1978/

Today's recommendation comes from a late 1970s song.

Macau born, Taipei raised Jenny Tseng released her first Cantonese album in 1978. One of the song titled Fen Dou aka Strive talked about how two people strived for their future. Later on, it was known as Hong Kong's unofficial anthem as the lyrics talked about local born and raised Hong Kongers slogged and toiled to make the Pearl of the Orient (not referring to The Philippines) a better place.

I tried to search for the music video for this song but alas, there is none. If you can understand Cantonese, you will find the lyrics meaningful.
